Spitzer
Back in 2019 the Sarasota County Commission led by County Commissioner Mike Moran brought in consultant Kurt Spitzer, who drew up a Sarasota County Commission redistricting map put together by a convicted felon of voter fraud Bob Waechter. The alias of Adam Smith was used by Waechter to hide his identity in who drew up the map.
Waechter
The Smith/Waechter map of 2019 racially disenfranchised over 8,000 African American voters and the African American candidate for the Sarasota County Commission, Fredd Atkins by moving them out of District 1.
Waechter is a guilty, convicted criminal and no amount of pearl clutching, sugar coating or headline sarcasm naming Waechter a campaign trickster, will ever change that. He has been a political operative for the Pat Neal gang of "Pay to Play" developers for years.
Neal
Even when it was discovered that the convicted felon of political fraud and a Neal political operative was the author of the map, the County Commission nevertheless hired Spitzer to push the map and they eventually approved the map.
Atkins
Atkins and the over 8,000 African were moved to District 2 and Atkins was unable to run against Moran for County Commission in 2019. Over 8,000 African American voters, which included Atkins could not vote in a Sarasota County Commission race until 2021.
Dicicco
The Waechter/Smith map also eliminated Republican Frank Dicicco by redistricting him from running against Moran. Dicicco ran against Moran four years previously and lost in a close race. Dicicco was all set to run against Moran again.
Culverhouse
CULVERHOUSE CHALLENGED THE WAECTER RACIST MAP PUT OUT BY PITZER
A legal challenge to the Sarasota County Commission's redistricting map was filed by Palmer Ranch developer Hugh Culverhouse Jr., who called the county’s attempt “ridiculous.”
Culverhouse, who is not your typical local developer, having experience in federal court as a former assistant U.S. Attorney spearheaded a challenge to the racist disenfranchising of African American voters by filling a lawsuit, which included Atkins as a plaintiff.
Kellogg
Lawrence Kellogg, a Miami attorney who has represented Culverhouse in past litigation and tried cases with Culverhouse served as counsel for the plaintiffs. Sarasota attorney Steve Hutton, who also has represented Culverhouse in the past, served as co-counsel on the case, along with Culverhouse himself. In pursuing the litigation; Culverhouse paid over $900,000 in legal bills.
Hutton
Culverhouse was born in Montgomery, Alabama and grew up in the segregated south. He vividly remembers encountering segregation as a young child in Jacksonville and thinking it was wrong.
“We’re all Americans. Why in the world should we allow one group of Americans, simply because of their color, to be treated differently?” Culverhouse said that when asked why he was backing the lawsuit.
CULVERHOUSE: "CRIMINAL'S MAP IS PLAIN AND SIMPLE WRONG"
As Culverhouse stated, "It makes no difference if all five commissioners were Democrats, Republican or Independents, the actions of the three County Commissioners (Nancy Deter/ Al Maio/ Mike Moran) in adopting a convicted criminal's map with no scientific back-up is plain and simple wrong."
CULVERHOUSE: " WAECHTER MAP SHOULD BE MATTER FOR STATES ATTORNEY OR U.S ATTORNEY"
Culverhouse went on to state, "This (Waechter Map) should be a matter for the State Attorney or the U.S. Attorney.......the quick acceptance of a criminal's map that eliminates blacks is criminal within itself. It is not the politics; it is the conspiracy and criminal action to favor certain commissioners in an election that is important."
Jung
Incredible, U.S. Judge William Jung ruled that race was not a predominant motive in the redistricting map that Sarasota County Commission put together by the convicted political fraudster, Waechter.
A white judge (Jung) ruled a white consultant (Spitzer) used a redistricting map drawn up by a white guy (Waechter) and approved by three white Sarasota County Commissioners (Maio, Detert and Moran) that removed over 8,000 African American and a African American candidate (Atkins) from running against the white guy (Moran), who voted for removing the 8,000 African American and Atkins---AND THAT IS NOT RACIST?
Culverhouse did not appeal the decision. “It is pointless, because we are not going to stop the election under the redistricting map,” said Culverhouse.
Bentley
In 2021 Neal attempted once again to deny Atkins to run for County Commissioner by having attorney and his favorite Democrat, Morgan Bentley and his law partner Brian Goodrich put together a map to once again disenfranchise Atkins and African American voters by moving them and others out of District 2.
Under the “Bentley Goodrich" map, around 56,936 county residents who lost eligible to vote in 2019 would not be able to vote again until 2024, according to an analysis by R.N. Collins, who closely tracts redistricting. These residents still would be able to vote in other major races on the ballot in the 2022 election, but not the commission seats, because of the timing of the votes for the districts.
The “Bentley/Goodrich” map would have similarly force 20,165 county residents, who were last able to vote for commissioners in 2018 to be unable to vote again until 2024,
The uproar from the public was too much to pull this scam off and the "Bentley/Goodrich" map was voted down. Atkins did run for the County Commission in 2002 and lost by less than 300 votes to another Neal flunky, Mark Smith, who outspent Atkins 8-1.
No way could Neal and his cronies have a Black man, who has been taking on the Plantation Mentality for years sitting on HIS Sarasota County Commission.
Ramirez
By the way, Bentley represented Waechter when Lourdes Ramirez sued Wachter for political fraud.
Now in 2023, one sees the Sarasota County School Board led by Karen Rose bringing back Spitzer to do his magic again for Neal and his cronies, as he did in 2019.
Barker
The Rose redistricting scam has nothing to do with Rose’s opponent in her reelection campaign to the School Board, Liz Barker being removed from Rose’s District.
Does any political observer believe someone like Barker, who parachuted into Sarasota two years ago and is a progressive liberal Democrat, who hangs out at Forgatyville where Cathy Antunes of WSLR and other left-wing nutcases push their liberal agenda hang out is going to get any votes in the bastion of Republican conservatism in South Sarasota County?
Any political observer feels she will not receive too many votes from other parts of the County with a campaign slogan of, "LET'S DO IT LIKE WE DO IT UP NORTH." Unless a third candidate emerges, Neal's establishment RINO Rose will be re-elected
Edwards
It is not to remove Barker or to racial disenfranchise African American voters, but to allow a handpicked candidate of “Pay to Play” developer Neal to run against Sarasota County School Board member Tom "Bijou" Edwards. Neal has found a candidate, reportedly spending over $50,000 to find his “right” candidate. Unfortunately, Neal’s “right” candidate does not live in Edwards’ District.
That is easy to fix, just get his mouthpiece Rose to request redistricting for $39,000 and get three other School Board members to go along for someone to do the redistricting, as Moran did in 2019 and get none other than Spitzer ---the promoter of the racist map put together by Smith/Waechter in 2019.
PRESTO -- NEAL'S CANDIDATE IS IN EDWARDS' DISTRICT
The Sarasota Phoenix s is no fan of Edwards, whose ego enters the room ten minutes before he does. There is a problem of Edwards putting the emphasis on the WOKE agenda and pushing on it, as he says "from the inside."
Edwards is just another establishment Democrat in the pockets of the mutimillion-dollar foundations, who spent thousands of dollars to finance the campaigns of Edwards' handpicked candidates in 2022. Edwards was also a major supporter of misogynist City Commissioner Hagen Brody in his failed campaign for the Sarasota County Commissioner against Atkins. Brody like Edwards--another establisment Democrat.
Neal has different dislikes for Edwards and other reasons for icing Edwards. Neal finds Edwards too controversial and independent to smoothly fit in his pocket like ALL other Sarasota flunky politicians who slide in Neal's and his cronies' pockets.
Neal could support Edwards, but it would blow Neal's cover as closet moderate Democrat and put a another nail in the coffin of this documented establishment RINO.
Edwards no doubt could go for Neal priorities for lower Impact fees and more schools built on Neal and his developers’ cronies’ new developments—even if they don’t need them.
Edwards has too much of ago for Neal and Neal feels the former New York liquor salesman has not been staying low key down around his district in Nokomis. Edwards has become to enjoy the Chablis and brie life style with the social elite. Edwards has been hanging out at the venues of the social elite in Downtown Sarasota garnering the moniker of "Bijou Tom."
Neal does not desire that in his County Commissioners or School Board members.
Neal desires a low-key County Commissioner or School Board member that goes to church, joins the Tiger Bay, become a member of either the establishment DEC or establishment REC and a major supporter of the multimillion-dollar Foundations, who work with Neal and his cronies running Sarasota County.
Neal desires a County Commissioner or School Board member, who follows the agenda of his flunky Superintendent or County Administrator puts before him or her and raises their hand in approval of any item a Neal or his cronies proposal comes before them.
Connor
Neal and his cronies have recently selected Superintendent of the Sarasota County School Board, Terrance Connor. who will administer the School Board setting the agenda just as Neal's flunky at the Sarasota County Commission, County Administrator Jonathan Lewis does.

Neal and is cronies desire a County Commission and School Board that nobody attends. Neal and his cronies desire a local media like the SHT and that other mullet wrapper--the Sarasota Observer--to go along to get along with Neal and his cronies turning Sarasota into Paradise Lost, while they and Neal make $millions turning a former Paradise into a Parking lot.
One group that the former Florida Democrat State Senator and now an establishmen RINO, Neal desires anywhere near a leadersrship position on the School Board is Connie Brunie and her America First grassroots organization.

Also, Neal cannot have a school board member running back and forth between his or her homes, as Rose does between that condo of she owns on the mainland and her home on Siesta Key.
