If you are for protecting our City of Sarasota from continued apartment structures that look like barely assembled giant Tonka Toys, you need to protect our City of Sarasota from Carl Shoffstall, Bob Waechter, Randy Benderson and their cronies on August 23.
SHT FAILS TO VET SHOFFSTALL
As they failed in 2020 to vet the present hapless City Commission Kyle Battie and the failed States Attorney Hagen Brody in 2018, the the SHT has failed to vet Carl Shoffstall.
Shoffstall wishes to replace Brody as the No. 1 BRO Commissioner at City Hall. Shoffstall wishes to join Battie and Eric Arroyo as the new configuration of the present THREE BRO's.
It is outrageous that the SHT has not written a word on Shoffstall's campaign finance report for becoming a Sarasota City Commissioner. It reveals that Shoffstall is nothing more than a flunky for "Pay to Play" developers making $millions continuing to turn the City of Sarasota into one giant urban massive sprawl.

No mention in the SHT about a Shoffstall's PAC called NEIGHBORS FOR A BETTER SARASOTA managed by "Pay to Play" developer Pat Neal's political operative out of Tallahassee, Stafford Jones.
Jones has replaced Eric "The Prince of Dirty Dark PAC Money" Robinson as Neal and his JUNTA's cronies No. 1 man moving around dirty dark PAC money.
Neal
Jones has taken out among others, Neal JUNTA opponents, Deborah Anderson in Venice and currently trying to take out Lourdes Ramirez running for Sarasota County Commissioner. Jones is among other political operatives under criminal investigations in a major political scandal in Miami.
No mention that Jones does with the Shoffstall's PAC, as he does with the other numerous PAC's he manages for his clients, Jones is using a FedEx drop box as the address for the Shoffstall's PAC. Shoffstall is operating his PAC out of a FedEx drop box at 1722 N/W 80th Boulevard in Gainesville, Florida.
Buffalo Urban Sprawl
In the Shoffstall PAC there is a $5,000 contribution from Randy Benderson, who since parachuting into Sarasota from Buffalo has given Sarasota County residents a taste of the disastrous Buffalo urban sprawl out on University Boulevard and about to do the same at U.S 41 and Stickney Point.

Benderson could be planning on bringing another taste of his Buffalo urban sprawl to the City of Sarasota. Benderson is now moving into the City of Sarasota after being refused by a City Commission back in 2012 to put a shopping center on Beneva and Fruitville Road where a park exists. That was before the THREE BRO' S took over City Hall and turned it into a shit show.
Benderson has recently purchased the South Gate mall and the Sarasota County Administration building on Ringling Bolivard. No doubt that 5 grand to Shoffstall makes him Benderson's choice to replace Brody as the new member of the THREE BRO'S. With Shoffstall in his pocket, Benderson will do what he does at the County commission--stuff Commissioners in his pockets.
Mitchell
Benderson is one of many "Pay to Play" developers and their cronies who have bought a piece of Shoffstall with campaign contributions. One in particular is Jonathan Mitchell who has funneled 2, $1,000 contributions into Schoffstall's campaign for the City Commission campaign. There are $1,000 checks from"rainmaker" attorneys for "Pay to Play" developers like John Patterson of Marina Jack and Brenda Patten. "Pay to Play" developer Jesse Biter has bought a piece of the Schoffstall "action" with a $1,000 check.
Paul Thrope Park on Pineapple Ave. in Downtown Sarasota
Mitchell is a soul mate of Joel Scleicher, who was exposed in over 40 text messages with Brody, as having Brody safely stuffed in his pocket. Mitchell is the "Pay to Play" developer who tried to turn the park on Pineapple Avenue in Downtown Sarasota into a restaurant, as if we really needed another restaurant in Downtown Sarasota.
Bridges
There was a $5,000 check in that Shoffstall's FedEx drop box in Gainesville from James Bridges, whose company currently has at least $100 million in projects in some form of proposal or development in and around Downtown Sarasota.
In that same Shoffstall PAC FedEx drop box in Gainesville are three checks worth $30,000 from unnamed individuals, who own hotels on Longboat Key, Manchester, N.H and Delray Beach, Florida.
There are other campaign contributions to Shoffstall from "Pay to Play" developers who have bought a piece of Shoffstall, but they need not be mentioned. It is crystal clear that Shoffstall is deep in the pockets of the "Pay to Play" developers.
Battie
If there is any doubt who will pull Shoffstall's strings if he succeeds Brody and joins Battie and Arroyo as the new version of the THREE BRO's, it is the $200 kiss from the longtime political operative of Pat Neal and his JUNTA cronies, Bob Waechter.
This $200 dollar contribution to Shoffstall's campaign from the the developers local hit man Waechter should end any speculation whose rings Shoffstall's has been kissing. If you were a candidate, would you accept money from a man who has been arrested for breaking into houses and political fraud? Not to mentioning gerrymandering for Sarasota County redistricting for "Pay to Play" developers.
Shoffstall's chairmanship of the Coalition of City Neighborhood Associations (CCNA) turned a once strong powerful well-respected neighborhood association into a paper tiger. Shoffstall was on a mission for the development community to water down the effectiveness of CCNA and was successful in doing so.
Ahearn-Koch
Back when the CCNA was a strong voice for the neighborhoods you could not get elected to the City Commission without being a member of the CCNA. Take a look at the City Commission today. Commissioner Jennifer Ahearn Koch is the only one of five City Commissioners, who are former members of the CCNA.
All THREE BRO's turning City Hall into a shit show never attended a CCNA meeting until they ran for the City Commission and certainly were not members of CCNA.
UNDER SCHOFFSTALL LEADERSHIP CCNA WAS TURNED INTO A PAPER TIGER
It is shameful to those of us who once knew how effective the CCNA one was and how under Shoffstall's leadership its effectiveness was diminished and continues to be diminished with Shoffstall behind the scenes leadership. To elect Shoffstall to the Sarasota City Commission as a reward from "Pay to Play" developers for watering down CCNA would be a disgrace.
