JACOBS NAMED WESTCOAST BLACK THEATRE AFTER A CONVICTED PREDATOR AND SEXUAL MOLESTER OF BLACK CHILDREN
On 9/23/2022 the self-appointed Bishop Henry Lee Porter was sentenced by Judge Thomas Krug to two consecutive life sentences in prison for sexual molesting children under 12 years of age. For decades. Porter wined and dined with Sarasota's social elite while Porter molested and raped Black children locally and world-wide.
Not only was the child sexual predator and phony minister and self-proclaimed Bishop Henry Porter, who groomed Black children for his sexual pleasure convicted for molesting Black children for decades -- so were Porter's enablers convicted of turning their heads to this fraud.
For 50 years THIS SELF-ORDAINED MINISTER AND BISHOP molested and raped Black children in his Downtown Sarasota church, his Downtown Sarasota school, his residence in the Sapphire Shores/Indian Beach neighborhood and throughout the United States, Europe and Africa.
Meanwhile, Westcoast church members, the social elite, law enforcement, the media and others turned their heads to the cries of those molested by Porter and others.
Porter was a handsome, intelligent manipulative fraud and well-groomed in his African attire who went along to get along with the social elite. Those social elitists promoted Porter as an example of racial harmony in Sarasota.
Porter sexually molested and raped Black children in Sarasota at his Downtown Westcoast Church and School for Human Development and beyond for decades.
Porter created the Westcoast School for Human Development (1981, grades K-12) and served as the principal from 1981 to 2000. What was going on at that Westcoast Church was nothing more than a cult with Porter being considered by his followers as the "Hand of God." Porter would state to the members of the Church, "if the word did not come from him, it did not come from God."
Krug
KRUG: "PORTER USED HOLY POSITION TO SEXUALLY BATTER CHILDREN"
Judge Krug in sentencing the phony minister Porter stated, who was NEVER ordained a minister or Bishop: "What I’m convinced of, you used a robe, a position taking the authority of God ... and that you used that holy position to sexually batter children."
KRUG ADMONISHED PORTER'S ENABLERS
Krug addressed those Porter supporters in the packed courtroom and those on zoom who could not fit in the courtroom. They were there to defend Porter despite evidence that Porter was a sexual predator, who molested and raped hundreds of children for over 50 years.
Krug stated, "whatever Porter would say from his Holy Authority you would believe despite the dozens of lives crushed by him." Krug continued, "those that have enabled this sexual predator to destroy the lives of countless victims; you need to take account of your actions as you lay down on your pillow to sleep tonight."
PORTER SHOWED NO REMORSE FOR MOLESTING AND RAPING CHILDREN
Despite all the children Porter had molested and raped there was no remorse. Despite hundreds of pages of documentation and testimony that Porter molested and raped countless children throughout the world, Porter stated: "Though I am in shackles, in chains, I am innocent of the charges."
PORTER WESTCOAST CHURCH AND SCHOOL FOR HUMAN DEVELOPMENT MEMBERS SUPPORT THE CHILD MOLESTER AND RAPIST
A longtime Porter supporter stated, "Porter was a heavenly God, a dad to look up to and Porter made Sarasota a better place." This person presently teaches at the Westcoast School for Human Development. Another member of Porter's Westcoast Church and School for Human Development stated, "It will be an indictment of all and a travesty if he (Porter) stays another day in jail."
AS PORTER MOLESTD AND RAPED BLACK CHILDREN PORTER MADE A MOCKERY OF LOCAL CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM
Porter's conviction cannot hide the Sarasota Police Department and FBI botched investigations in 1990 and 2001-2002, which allowed Porter to continue to molest and rape Black children for 20 to 30 years afterwards. Porter had made a mockery of an inept local criminal justice system, as he molested a countless number of Black children.
Iorio
WHY NOT IORIO INSTEAD OF INEPT SPD AND FBI INEPT INVESTAGATORS?
Thomas
Iorio was initially approached by local FBI agent Kelly Thomas to look over an FBI file they had on their sexual molestation investigation of Porter in 2002. The local FBI was involved because Porter had taken local Black children out of Florida and molested and raped them in other locations outside of Florida.
The day after Thomas asked Iorio to look at the files, Thomas requested them back, which Iorio did. Ioorio was never asked to be involved with the Porter investigations.
Billings
Instead of Iorio, an inept Sarasota Police Department (SPD) investigator Lynn Thomson and equally inept FBI investigator Lynn Billings along with other less competent investigators were the ones investigating Porter.
WESTCOAST CHURCH MEMBERS KNEW PORTER GROOMED BLACK CHILDREN FOR SEXUAL MOLESTATION
It is documented that members of the Westcoast Church knew Porter was using the school to groom children for his sexual molestation. Some went to law enforcement but received no assistance in taking Porter off the streets. Others left, while others stayed and enabled Porter to continue his evilness.
INFORMATION PASSED TO LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMET ON PORTER ABUSE
One of the individuals who can forth on information that Porter was molested Black children for years was a former member of Porter's church. She was Michele Jacobs, who left the church after divorcing Nate Jacobs, who was a member of Porter's church. Nate Jacobs was a teacher at the Westcoast School for Human Development for 12 years.
Michele Jacobs stated for over a year and a half she met with various City of Sarasota Police Department law enforcement officers. She met most exclusively with SPD detective Lynn Thomson, who led the 2000-2001 criminal investigation of Porter. She was among information Porter was sexually abusing Black children.
An arrest report says in the 2001-2002 investigation there was a letter from an anonymous person that listed 40 people accusing Porter of sexual abuse. The report states "all of these incidents of sexual abuse were outside the statute of limitations when the victim's provided statements to law enforcement which prevented criminal charges."

DePino and Captain Jonathan Todd who led investigation
After failed previous criminal investigations, an investigation by then City of Sarasota Police Department (SPD) Chief of Police Bernadette DePino, Porter was arrested. To her credit, DiPino did what other previous SPD officials failed to do---DiPino opened an active investigation of Porter. Porter was arrested, convicted and sentenced to two life terms.
Felix
Assistant States Attorney Ryan Felix prosecuted Porter and did a masterful and brilliant job in presenting the facts of the case. Felix brought respectability to the local States Attorney office after Porter had made a mockery of the local criminal justice system for over 30 years as he molested a countless number of Black children.
TESTIMONY BY THOSE PORTER SEXUALLY MOLESTED IMPRISONED HIM FOR LIFE
The sentencing putting Porter away for the rest of his life was based on testimony given by Porter's victims how Porter groomed children to sexual molest them.
“He (Porter) cloaked himself as a father figure, but under the veil was a predator, and we were the prey," one of Porter's victims stated.
One young man under the age of 12 at was molested at Porter's residence in the Sapphire Shore/Indian Beach neighborhood. One under the age of 12 was molested at Porter's Westcoast Church and School for Human Redevelopment. Another Black child was raped in a Las Vagas hotel room.
One young man, who produced the video called The Art of Manipulation -- My Survival of Molestation that led to Porter's arrest testified he was molested at the age of 15 in a hotel room in Daytona Beach. That sexual molestation began six years of Porter having anal and oral sex with Porter.
A 49-year-old male victim testified that Porter drove in a limousine down a dirt road in Lake County, Florida to bring him, as a 12-year-old boy back to Sarasota. It was just weeks after arriving in Sarasota and taking up residence in an apartment at the Westcoast church that Porter started performing oral and anal sex on the young boy.
This young man also testified Porter had him give him oral sex on a trip to Tallahassee. The child eventually was successful running away from the Westcoast Church and School after three failed attempts and being brought back to church/school by Porter's aides.
One Porter victim recalled one incident in which he fell asleep on a mattress in Porter’s office, then awakened with Porter on top of him and trying to run, the arrest report said, only to be pulled back by the pastor. Porter warned the child to never tell anyone what happened, saying no one would believe him over the "pastor."
Other than those testifying at Porter's trial, after Porter was arrested in 2021 following Watkins' video, police interviewed more than 20 similar “fact victims.” All were boy's ages 14 to young adults of various ages who provided statements outlining the abuse by Porter.
Investigators spoke to another who told police that the Porter repeatedly sexually assaulted him, both in Porter’s bedroom and at the church, according to an arrest report, during school hours and before and after church services.
Smith
Information also came forth that two Assistant Pastors at the Porter's church, Vincent Smith, and Wallace Murray. Both had confronted Porter after a young man whom Porter had molested as a child moved to Connecticut and threatened to sue the church and Porter unless they negotiated a cash settlement.
Smith and Murray demanded Porter seek treatment for sexual abusing children, which Porter refused. A cash settlement was then forthcoming to Porter's victim to cover up Porter's crime, which reportedly were one of many numerous other cover ups of Porter's sexual molestation crimes.
Instead of reporting Porter to the law enforcement or demanding Porter's resignation, Smith and Murray did neither. Smith left Porter and started his own church in Sarasota and Murray moved to Nort Carolina, (Calls to Smith have not been returned. Murray has moved to North Carolina and has made himself unavailable for comment).
PORTER WENT TO NO DIVINITY SCHOOL OR COLLEGE - PORTER IS NO ORDAINED MINISTER OR BISHOP
Porter has NO religious training. Porter graduated from Florida A & M with a degree in mathematics. Porter enrolled in Yale to get a doctor's degree in mathematics but dropped out before getting a degree.
Porter has fraudulently trained and ordained many ministers since 1971. He has fraudulently consecrated graduates of Bible colleges since 1985. As a phony self-ordained Prelate, Porter has served on boards to fraudulently consecrate bishops since 1995.
The list includes Bishop Kenneth Moales in 1995, Bishop James Howell in 1997, Bishop Dwight D. Parrett in 2003 and Bishop Thomas E. McDonald in 2006.

PORTER RECEIVED HUNDEREDS OF AWARDS AS HE MOLESTED AN RAPED BLACK CHILDREN FOR DECADES
In 2003 Sarasota Magazine selected this fraud Porter for the 1993 and summer 2002 Editions as Sarasota 100 and Most Powerful Person in Sarasota (March 1993 and Summer 2002). April 14, 2004, Porter was inducted into the Sarasota Hall of Fame.
The child molester of countless Black children entertained in the White House for President Bill Clinton and received two Points of Light awards from Florida Governor Jeb Bush.
In 1992 and 2004, he had audiences with the Pope Giovannni Pauolo II at Prefettura Dei La Casa Pontificia, Rome. He was touring various locations in Europe with children from the Westcoast Schoolfor Humane Development.
JACOBS NAMES WESTCOAST BLACK THEATRE AFTER HIS MENTOR-PORTER
The white social elite along with a local media and law enforcement now see Porter's conviction as the end of their Porter problem. They now believe once Porter is sent off to prison everyone will forget that Porter molested Black children for over 50 years.
But that 50-year-old disgraceful problem and cover-up is staring his enablers directly in their face. Because a few blocks from Porter's Westcoast Church and School for Human Development is the Westcoast Black Theatre. The founder and Artistic Director of the Theatre's Nate Jacobs named the Theatre after the 50-year-old molester of countless Black children.

PORTER AND JACOBS CONNECTION IS TROUBLESSOME/PORTER HELPED DEDICATE JACOBS'S WESTCOAST ADDITION
In 2018 Porter helped his protégé Jacobs dedicate an addition to Westcoast Black Theater as Jacobs's patrons look on at the dedication of a $8 million-dollar addition to the Westcoast Black Theatre.
The interview is disgusting as the child molester Porter and Jacobs laugh, sing and reminisce over the years they spent together. The room where the interview took place is the same room where the convicted child predator Porter molested an 11-year-old boy. The incident was part of the evidence in the recent trial to convict Porter of molesting a child under 12.

This is an event between Nate Jacobs and Porter on 5/8/2018 at Porter's 47th street home in Sapphire Shores two years before Porter was arrested on 1/2/2020 and convicted on 6/24/2022.
On 6/23/22 which was the day that testimony was heard at Porter's trial that he molested Black children spoke that night at the Westcoast Church were Porter molested those young men as children.
Jacobs shamefully and outrageously mentioned not a word of the young men who spoke that day how Porter sexually molested them. All of these young men Jacobs was personally close to and associated with these young men as they grew up in the Westcoast Church and School---Jacobs was their teacher.
JACOBS SPEAKING "THE WORD OF GOD" AT WESTCOAST CHURCH OF HUMAN DEVEVELOPMENT 8/23/22
It was shameful as Jacobs sang and pranced around on this night like a stuff peacock singing and preaching that "Westcoast was God's idea and it was a good idea." Porter preached, "God created and established Westcoast. God sent the man of God (Porter) and he (Porter) spoke to us." Jacobs asks God "to pour You out and pour me in and I will obey Your will and I will speak Your word."
Jacobs sang and preached at the West Coast Church and School of Human Development for an hour to Porter enablers who still believe Porter is "the hand of God." The same folks who attended the trial in support of Porter and as Judge Krug stated, "Whatever Porter would say from his Holy Authority you would believe despite the dozens of lives crushed by him."
JACOBS CALLS PORTER "A MAN OF GOD" AND "HIS RABBI"
Jacobs spoke for an hour exalting of all the good Porter achieved while "ministering" at the church and school. Jacobs calls the convicted child molester of Black children "A Man of God" and "His Rabbi."
Jacobs stated, "Every, time Porter would call him that he needed him, he would come." Jacobs told the Westcoast congregation those Board members at the Westcoast Black Threatre he founded, " know better to bother him about times he attends the Westcoast Church."
Jacobs also spoke what an honor it was to be asked to travel with Porter with the Westcoast chorus and ensemble, which included young children. It was documented and testified that young children after performing on stage on those trips and retired to their rooms in the evening, Porter would send one of his aides to bring a child to his room where Porter would molest them.
JACOBS LIKE HIS 30 YEAR MENTOR GOES ALONG NICELY WITH SARASOTA CULTURE ELITE
Jacobs fits very nicely into who goes along to get along with the Sarasota's culture elite just as Porter did. The night Jacobs spoke to Porter's enablers, Jacobs bragged about the $500,000 home in a gated community with expensive marble fixtures the patrons of the Westcoast Black Theatre bought for him.

McFarlin was the SHT Executive Director from 1990 to 1999 when she became the SHT publisher until she left to become the Dean of the University of Florida Journalism Department in 2013.

How does the SHT explain that during McFarlin's leadership, Porter was molesting and raping Black a few blocks away from the SHT offices. Porter would also perform with young children in front of the SHT headquarters in Downtown Sarasota.
Sarasota Herald Tribune has no intention of reporting that Porter groomed Black children for his sexual pleasure, while the local white culture elite of Sarasota had Porter as their example of racial compatibility.
It is scandalous the lack of coverage the SHT has provided the public of Porter molesting Black children. No reporting after Porter was arrested near two years ago and not a word prior to the trial.
Anderson
The reporter sent to cover the trial missed the first two days of the trial, which was when a major part of testimony by Porter's victims was heard. She had no idea of who Porter was and knew nothing about the trial until SHT investigative reporter Chris Anderson informed her about Porter and his trial.
Having a young reporter, who was recently parachuted into Sarasota from Mississippi and knowing little or nothing about what goes on in Sarasota, her covering Porter was inaproiate. Instead of having an investigative reporter like Chris Anderson or columnist Carrie Seidman writing about Porter says how little the SHT cared about the 50 years of countless Black children being molested and raped by Porter for decades.

When Seidman inquired about the Porter situation, Seideman was informed by the SHT Opinions Editor Roger Brown that he had someone to write an in-depth article on Porter.
