LOCAL REPUBLICAN CHAIRMAN BRILL HAS BRODSKY PRESSING CRIMINAL CHARGES AGAINST GRASSROOTS ACTIVIST FOR TOUCHING HIS ARM AND THRUSTING HIS BUTTOCKS INTO HENCHMAN
Sarasota County Republican Executive Chairman (REC), Jack Brill, in a most bizarre incident, has charged Republican activist Michael Zarzano of assaulting him for touching his arm and thrusting his buttocks into Brill's henchman, Mark Frandsen on 9/16/21 at a cost of thousands of taxpayer dollars and other public resources.
Reportely, this is not a isolated incident in other bizarre affairs that Brill has been involved since becoming chairman of the local REC.

This bizarre Brill allegation actually happened over a year and a half ago, and it is equally bizarre that 12th District States Attorney Ed Brodsky has allowed these most frivolous allegations against Zarzano to continue for the last year and a half. For example, Brodsky had Zarzano served a criminal summons at his home in Englewood on 12/23/21 at 3:33 A.M and the case continues to this date.
Frandsen
What justified such a dramatic serving of the court summons? Brill and Frandsen have invoked Marcy's Law as victims to shield their indentities and involvement in the incident, but witnesses have revealed them as the instigators of the entire incident.
Hoffman
After signing a waiver of prosecution when the incident occurred, Brill and later Frandsen phoned Sheriff Kurt Hoffman's office 5 days later stating, "due to multiple disruptions caused by Zarzano during (other) meetings...he had decided to...pursue charges against Zarzano.," according to an Affidavit of Probable Cause filed in the case.
Increable, Brill in order to get his pound of flesh from a political foe in this bizarre incident, got assistance from the Sheriff of Sarasota County and 12th District State Attorney in this bizarre incident to get it.

Brodsky is the same elected State's Attorney who is trying to protect Brill's arm and Frandsen from Zarazano's alleged attacks on his buttocks, BUT allowed Ryan Flanzer, who shot up a Downtown Sarasota condo with an AK47 back in 2020, to plead out with no jail time.
Flanzer did not spend any time in jail for dressing in body armor and shooting up a downtown condominium after he tricked the concierge into believing he was a process server.
Flanzer, 27, said he was really trying to apprehend a “most wanted person” who had personally stolen a “million dollars” from him because police weren’t doing their job. He went to the third floor and fired shots into the door, according to an arrest report.
BRODSKY PUBLIC CHARGES ARE BIZARRE AND ACTUALY AMUSING
Brodsky actually states in his public charging document of Brill's allegations, that in touching Brill’s arm and bumping his buttocks into Frandsen, Zarzano “made and provided against the peace and dignity of the State of Florida.”
This incident occurred at a conservative activists meeting in South Venice, and neither Brill nor Frandsen was invited to attend the private event. IT WAS BY INVITATION ONLY.
Brill and Frandsen were asked by numerous attendees and the meeting's hostess to leave, but they refused. Zarzano's statement to police indicated that the uninvited guests, Brill and Frandsen, were "creating a disurbance" and that his action were "necessary to restore order within the meeting."

BRILL CONCERNED WITH LOSING CONTROL OF BASTION OF REPUBLICAN CONSERVTISM FOR NEAL IN SARASOTA SOUTH COUNTY
It is well known that Brill has a real concern that he is losing control of the bastion of Republican conservative grassroots organizations in South County. That being acknowledged and Brill being a major yes-man for his mentor, “Pay to Play” developer Pat Neal, Brill needs to assure grassroots organizations in South County don’t disrupt Neal’s control of the local Republican Party (REC).
Brill wants to make an example out of Zarzano so others will know not to get out of line and that Brill has the power of the local 12th District Attorney and Sarasota Counny Shrefiff to do so.
Zarzano has been a problem for Brill in keeping control of South County for Brill and Neal. So, when Brill became aware of the South Venice meeting that Zarzano was involved, he and his local Nort Port henchman Frandsen attended the invitation-only meeting anyway.
When after Brill and Frandsen were asked to leave, the chairman of the local REC (Brill) seized the microphone and and that is when Brill alleges Zarzano touched his upper arm and thrust his butt into Frandsen, which according to Brodsky, “cause Brill bodily harm that provided against the peace and dignity of the State of Florida.” Their words.....

BENTLEY IS GO TO LAWYER FOR NEAL/NEAL'S CRONIES/NEAL'S POLITICAL OPERATIVES
More outrageous and just not bizarre if not criminal, is that Brill has hired local attorney Morgan Bentley to represent him for his sworn statement in this case, AND Brill is using REC funds to pay his personal attorney bills.
When REC members questioned the legal expense in February 2023, they were told, "Sit down and shut up." Brill has engaged the REC's paid PR spinner, former SHT reporter Rod Thomson, to paint those exposing the questionable transactions as "carpers and whiners in our local party."

Oddly, Sarasota County is the only county out of 67 counties with a paid PR person on its payroll. Records reflect Thomson is paid $1600 monthly retainer plus other fees during the year.
BRILL IS NEAL'S "YES MAN" AND TAKES OUT THOSE THAT DON'T DRINK THE NEAL KOOL AID
Brill ginned up an intentional disturbance at the meeting and called the cops. Then he makes frivolous charges against Zarzano, who is not drinking the Neal Kool Aid that the local REC is a strong and conservative Republican party when in reality it's the establishment Republican In Name Only (RINO) Party controlled by a gangster like Neal.
One cannot makes these thing up. The Chairman of the local Republican makes ridiculas allegations against a local conservative Republican activist and the local States Attorney and County Sheriff backs him up, while Brill takes REC funds to Bentley to take out his political foe, Zarzano.

Ever since Brodsky ran for the 12th District States Attorney office in 2012 and Neal stuffed into his pocket 10-- $1,000 checks in campaign contributions, Brodsky has been turning his head away from the culture of corruption going on within Sarasota County government.

If ever there was an example illustrating how Brodsky's 12th Judicial States Attorney office is another arm of a "Pay to Play" developers corrupt political organization, it’s that their political operative, Bob Waechter is permitted to continue his criminal activities after being arrested and convicted of three criminal offenses.
Brill welcomed Waechter back onto the REC in October. Waechter was previously forced to resign in disgrace when his criminal past was revealed to the REC several years ago.

RINO Neal calls Bentley his closet Democrat operative, as Bentley makes a living winning decisions from Neal appointed judges.

Among Bentley's nefarious acts was to put a PAC together to take out Sarasota City Commissioner Willy Shaw on behalf of the white donor elite, who wine and dine at Selby Gardens. Bentley also put together a redistricting map to fraudulently gerrymander Sarasota County districts to aid the election of Neal political flunkies. Another Bentley-related PAC was organized to funnel big money into exeutives who run Sarasota Memorial Hospital.

It is a total disgrace that Brill and Brodsky abuse their positions trying to criminalize longtime Republican grassroots activists, while they should be criminalized.

If anyone desired to see the Brill and Brosky SHIT SHOW attempting to take down Zarzano, they could have taken a look at the trial for Zarzano that was scheduled to take place in Venice this Tuesday (6/20/23). Many witnesses have been deposed and served supboenas for the case with a required appearance date of 6/20/23.
NOW, that all has changed when Graham Ledger, who is a free-lance and Emmy awrad winning reporter request for a camera in the courtroom that was first denied by the judge in the case, was approved by the head judge of 12th Circuit on appeal by Ledger.

NOW in a last-minute twist, the State Attorney's office began reaching out to Zarzano last Friday morning to cut a deal to make it all go away--quietly. Ledger received an email from Brodsky's Public Information Officer on Saturday stating, "the case is now removed from Judge Maryann Uzabel's trial docket and continued for a pretrial conference date of August 22." This is all just incredibly hypocritical considering Brill issued a press release on Sarasota GOP letterhead last Friday (6/9/23) stating, The Republican Party of Sarasota County strongly condemns the ...political weaponization of ...law enforcement....We are seeing the establishment of a two-tier legal system depending on a person's politics. This is an actual existential threat to a free society."
Neal's flunky, Brill issued the statement in response to persecution of former President Trump, but the same principle applies to what Brill is doing in using the Sheriff of Sarasota County (Hoffman), the 12th District States Attorney (Brodsky) and his position as Chairman of the local REC to mete out persecution against his political foes.
