According to the BBC, "The Sarasota Police Department have now stated they reviewed hours of video evidence and conducted nearly a dozen interviews and determined that it was unlikely that any sexual battery took place during the 4 October encounter."
If Christian Ziegler was cleared when he should have been--at least a month after being reported – it is a one day and no longer than a week-long story.

For him to be removed from the Chairmanship of Republican Party of Florida (RPOF)

- TALLAHASSEE — The Republican Party of Florida investigated its chair, Joe Gruters, in connection with a sexual harassment allegation involving a legislative staffer amid complaints from top party officials that the accusation was covered up.
Four party officials and an additional source who works with the Republican Party of Florida told POLITICO Tuesday morning that the allegations stem from an evening at a Tallahassee bar during the 2021 legislative session. Sources say a male aide offered to drive Gruters home from the bar and at some point Gruters allegedly sexually harassed the aide.

SPD KNEW WITHIN DAYS THE ALLEGED VICTIM WAS LYING
The SPD knew within days that that charges of sexual battery and rape against Christian Ziegler were COMPLETLY fabricated by the alleged victim. Those lies she told the SPD should have led to her arrest.

The SPD once they reviewed the videos’ surveillance tapes they obtained from the LYRA Apartment only days after the alleged sexual abuse, they knew the alleged victim was
lying.
For example, the LYRA apartment’s surveillance video where the alleged victim lives shows Ziegler knocking on the woman’s door and walking inside, which contradicts the woman’s claim to police that Ziegler walked into her apartment after she opened the door to walk her dog and put her over a bar stole and raped her.
The SPD also sees in the surveillance video that the woman is so upset in alleging being
sexually assaulted and raped that she exits the apartment together with Ziegler
and while Ziegler leaves the apartment complex out a side door to his truck, the woman can be seen walking across the street to have a late lunch.
The alleged victim walked over 200 yards to cross Ringling Boulevard to Mozzarella’s Pizzeria and orders a chicken parmigiana sub. She chatted with the owner of the establishment, as she waited to get her late lunch after her "encounter" with Ziegler.
While waiting the alleged victim made no comments of the horrific incident she has allegedly encountered that she would tell the SPD a few days later. The owner of the establishment witnessed the alleged victim was not in any turmoil or acted distressed.
The alleged victim received her sub after chatting with the owner, paid with a credit card and walked back to her LYRA apartment across Ringling Boulevard.
The alleged victim before or after enjoying her late lunch, did not take the time to call the SPD that she was sexually assaulted or raped. Neither did she call the SPD the following Wednesday. Only after the SPD on a late Thursday afternoon went to her apartment in response to a 911 call from a friend of the alleged victim, did the alleged victim spin her tale.
The SPD knew all about the alleged victim trip to Mozzarella’s Pizzeria for her late lunch after the alleged sexual encounter with Ziegler. The SPD knew the alleged victim was in no state of total outrage, as reported a few days later to the SPD. The SPD were aware of that, due to speaking with the owner of the Pizzeria a few days after the alleged sexual assault and rape.
SPD CONTROLLED CALLS IN ATTEMPT TO TRAP ZIEGLER
The alleged victim and the SPD also came up with no evidence to arrest Ziegler in conducting three controlled conversations between Zigler and the woman. The conversations produced no evidence Ziegler committed sexual battery or rape.
In attempting to nail Ziegler in forcing sex on the alleged victim, while she was under the influence of alcohol and drugs, the SPD made another trip led by SPD detective Angela Cox to the Mozzarella’s Pizzeria to have conversation with the owner of the Pizzeria.
Cox asked the owner if he saw signs of the alleged victim being intoxicated or under the influence of drugs. Once again, the owner of the Pizzeria stated that he observed no signs of intoxication or signs that the alleged victim was under the influence of drugs.
After Cox continued pressuring the owner of the Pizzeria for a period of time to state that the alleged victim might have been was under the influence of alcohol or drugs, Cox and her fellow SPD officer were asked to leave.
If the SPD did not have enough information that Ziegler could not be arrested, a video shows up that without a doubt that charges of sexual battery and rape against Christian Ziegler are COMPLETLY fabricated by the alleged victim.
The video of the sex act is brief in duration and the victim, who accused Ziegler of sexual battery and rape can be heard telling Ziegler to “climax in her mouth rather than on her new shirt.” So much for Ziegler throwing her over a bar stole sexually abusing and raping her.

The SPD had gathered all of the above information plus other pertinent information that the alleged victim was lying and there was no evidence of sexual abuse or rape. THAT WAS LESS THAN A MONTH AFTER THE ALLEGED ALLLEGATIONS OF SEXUAL ABUSE AND RAPE.
According to a retired national acclaimed expert law enforcement criminal investigator on sexual abuses cases, the normal procedure the SPD should have then taken after
having this information is the following:
Bring the alleged victim in for an interview and present her with the facts that don’t support her allegations. The SPD should then ask her to recount her allegation. If
not, arrest her for filing false charges and ask the States Attorney to charge her with making false allegations.
The SPD did nothing like that, despite there being no evidence and that there would be no arrest of Ziegler.
On 1/20/23 almost three months after the false report of sexual and rape---and OVER TWO MONTHS WHEN THE SPD KNEW THE ALLEGED VICTIM WAS LYING DID SPD DROPPED THE SEXUAL AND RAPE CHARGES AGAINST ZIEGLER.
By then, Barfield's led salacious narrative was picked up by a national and international press and sensationalized with the Ziegler's personal and political lives in tatters, not to mention the turmoil that the Ziegler's young daughters will now face.
