ARROYO BECOMES TOP "BRO" AS BATTIE AND BRODY SELL OUT THEIR PATRONS TO SAVE THEIR DAY JOB

This article is for those who missed the latest sh*t show at Sarasota City Hall, where local big shot Jonathan Mitchell attempted to steal valuable downtown City of Sarasota property at from residents in a session at City Hall. The property in question is Paul Thorpe Park and real estate company EDM was attempted to wrangle it away from the city for a measley $275,000. Mitchell is president of EDM.

Many citizens are extremely satisfied with the outcome as the hall was packed with citizens opposing such a ridiculous proposal. However, caution is advised. Mitchell and friends are closely aligned with several of the sitting commissioners and it is likely we haven't seen the last of this and other similaly egregious abuses of influence.
For those who fail to understand that City Commissioners Hagen "Beef O Brody" and Kyle "Tupac" Battie had little choice but to throw Mitchell and one of his main allies, Joel Shleicher under the bus. (Mitchell and Schleicher have formed a non-profit together called BEST which proclaims to be in existence to support what is BEST for the future of the city. Does that include paying pennies on the dollar for city lands? )
Unfortunately, this Mitchell proposal was so bad, that even Beef O Brody and "Tupac" Battie had no choice but to reneg on what must have been promises to essentially go in the tank for Schleicher and Mitchell proposals. Brody and Battie joined Commissioner Alpert and Jennifer Ahearn Koch in voting down the stealing of valuable public property. There was one holdout though!
ARROYO CONTINUES TO STAY IN THE "TANK"
The new No. 1 BRO, City Commissioner Eric Arroyo was a different story. Arroyo stayed in the tank with Schleicher and voted for taking down the City of Sarasota Paul Thorpe Park and selling public property at a basement price.
Beef O Brody, who has his eyes on running for the Sarasota County Commission this year, can ill afford to upset voters with stupid decisions. Arroyo has no such fears, as he does not run for re-election for three more years.
ARROYO MAKES A LIVING WITH HIS LAW DEGREE WHILE BRODY CANNOT
In addition, Arroyo practices law, while Brody's law degree is in moth balls as he hangs out at City Hall and five-star cocktail lounges making deals with the likes of Schleicher and Mitchell.
ARROYO AT FIELD CLUB--BRODY AT DOWNTOWN BARS AND RESTAURANTS MAKING "DEALS" FOR CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS
While Arroyo will be seen at the Field Club hosting Florida Attorney Ashley Moody with other high profile political and social leaders, Brody will be hanging out with "Pay to Play" developers at downtown watering holes and restaurants making deals for campaign contributions for a run for County Commission or to keep his $25, 000 City Hall job.
BATTIE AND O BRODY ARE MAKING A CAREER OUT OF CIVIL SERVICE.
Both Battie and Brody need their City Hall job and to upset voters over this scam could jeopardize these losers drinking from the public trough. Arroyo, on the other hand, has a good job at the Abel/Band law firm.
This editorial is for those who are naive to think that Beef O Brody is that sweet young man, who saved their beloved park and will not be kissing Schleicher ring as soon as possible, as likewise will Battie. Be prepared for Paul Thorpe round 2!
