There is an interveiw where Benderson spokesprson Paul Blackketter gave details how Benderson promised to raise $22-24 million for construction crews to build a boathouse, grandstands, finish tower and other amenities, prior to hosting the 2017 World Rowing Championships--- which was to transform Nathan Benderson Park from a small lake to an international venue--- is fraudulent and has not occurred.  

There is no boathouse, no grandstand and instead of a $10 million dollar finish tower there is a $5 million finish tower which Benderson funded, but later pocketed the $5 million for building it.

What is so refreshing in Fournier’s presentation is how he publicly described the Benderson approach to dealing with local public officials and vendors. Fournier showed no fear in taking on Benderson, in contrast to those who are apprehensive and fearful to speak out about the way Benderson officials conduct themselves and act so "indignant, confrontational and intimidating.
