The $8 million kiss is to pay for the widening of Laurel Road between Knights Trail Road and Jacaranda Boulevard. That $8 million dollar kiss from DeSantis will be matched by another $8 million kiss from Neal’s flunkies on the Sarasota County Commission.

That $16 million is part of $millions more for a road that will provide north-south roads to the grid system east of I-75, to open up acres of pristine land to development.
Before that "missing link" is completed the public sector investment will increase in millions, while Friends of DeSantis, who are DeSantis go-to-guy Neal and his cronies will pay not a penny. They will continue stuffing the Governor of the Free State of Florida and the County Commissioner in their pockets with campaign contributions, while turning DeSantis's Free State of Florida into what folks left California and New York to avoid.
STATE SENATOR GRUTERS SAYS NOT A WORD OF DeSANTIS KISS TO NEAL

Gruters is similar to every politician in the Sarasota/Manatee area except for U.S Congressmen Greg Steube, Vern Buchanan and Manatee Couty Sheriff Ricky Wells, who go nowhere politically unless they get in bed with Neal/Beriff and their “Pay to Play” developers’ agenda. Vic Rohe and his Health Freedom Slate is not kissing any Neal rings.

The Neal agenda is bulldozing anything that stands in their way of building shopping centers, condos, apartments or housing developments turning DeSantis Free State of Florida into another Governor Gavin Newsom State of California.
Neal and his cronies don’t mess with Steube or Ricky Wells because of their connection to former Manatee County Sheriff Charlie Wells, who Neal and Beruff know better to cross. Neal needs to kiss Charlie's ring. Buchanan has what you call s**** you money, which Neal and his cronies don’t come close in having. They need kisses from politician like DeSantis to make their $millions.
Neal deposed of Gruters as Chairman of local REC back in 2015 when his political operatives went on social media implying Gruters was engaged an illicit sexual affair. Neal sent Gruters packing to Tallahassee as a State Rep with that $50,000 contribution to the Friends of Joe Gruters PAC.
Gruters later became State Senator and Chairman of the Republican Party of Florida (RPOF) always taking time to kiss Neal’s ring.

Once Neal took control of local REC, Neal also took control of the REC’s Statesman of Year Award away from Gruters. No more Statesman of the Year awards for Trump.

The latest Statesman of the Year award has gone to DeSantis with an award to Casey DeSantis cancelled due to the Governor announcing for President. Casey will be returning to Sarasota to get that first Stateswoman award and no doubt Brill will be the MC with Neal and Beruff center stage planting hugs and kisses on the First Lady of the Free State of Florida.
At the Statesmen of the Year award to DeSantis on 8/8/22 there was Brill recently downsized from his job at Metz Foods, as the MC with Gruters back in the shadow’s.

Pedicini is a Ybor City based loud mouth egotistical political operative, who could care less about the political philosophy of his candidates. Pedicini takes money from
anyone who stuff money in his pockets. It doesn't matter to Pedicini, Neal, Beruff or the other "Pay to Play" developers if their candidates are a Liberal, Conservative or even Democrat.
BERUFF: “DeSANTIS MAKES US ALOT OF WALKING AROUND MONEY”
Beruff concerning a fundraiser for DeSantis stated, “I promised a small, intimate event, but we had to move it, there were a lot of builder and developer type who wanted to attend.”
Beruff stated In the same article, “We absolutely support the business policies the governor adopted, as he has made us a lot of walking around money.’’
This is the same Beruff that DeSantis in 2016 called, “a shady businessman, a crony capitalist and liberal using political donations to get preferential appointments to line the pockets of himself and his friends.”
This is the same Beruff who was fined $1,500 fine, along with the official reprimand and public censure for while serving as chairman of the SWFWMD board, had a voting conflict when he made a motion to approve a permit to destroy wetlands that benefited fellow developer Neal.

And Developer-Santis was completely agreeable with spending $30 million in taxpayer funds to widen a road and replace a bridge for the benefit of Kitson & Partners, the developer behind Babcock Ranch.
Developer-Santis also approved a Senate budget item calling for spending $106 million of the taxpayers’ moolah to build roads and other infrastructure to smooth the way for a huge Pasco County development called Angeline that will put 10,000 homes on 600 acres of ranchland. The developers, Lennar Homes and Metro Development, have been big-time donors to the guy.
When they wanted a trio of expensive new toll roads to open land for building new subdivisions, Developer-Santis signed that one into law.
Last fall, the Legislature dumped two of those toll roads but kept the controversial Northern Turnpike Extension going— again, largely for the benefit of developers and not the rural areas already standing against it. Developer-Santis signed off on that too. The road is called “RONNI’S ROAD.”
DeSantis has made a lot of noise about taking on big opponents like Disney. But has done everything in his power to accommodate developers.
