In 2015 the local Democrat Party began to turn the Sarasota City Commission into a dysfunctional inept s*** show controlled by "Pay to Play" developers hanging out at the Argus Foundation. Under the direction of a former Sarasota County Christine Robinson, who is the wife of Eric' The Prince of Dirty Dark PAC Money" Robinson, Argus has turned City Hall into a version of the Sarasota County Commission in the pockets of "Pay to Play" developers.

"The local Democratic Party continues to turn the Sarasota City Commission into a s*** show with the election of Debbie Trice over Dan Lobeck. How anyone could vote for Trice over Lobeck is simply incomprehensible. How Trice even ran for the City Commission, let alone winning a seat on the Commission should initiate the song "HERE COME THE CLOWNS be played when Commission meetings begin.
One of those Commissioners elected in 2020 with the support of the local Democrats is Kylie Battie, who two years ago was lying in a gutter on Palm Avenue after getting drunk and telling a Sarasota resident he was "going to f*** them up."
Today in 2022 the former masseur, bar greeter and failed dog walker, who rides around Sarasota without a license most of the time, has become the Mayor of Sarasota. Battie being selected Mayor of Sarasota should be another reason the song, "HERE COME THE CLOWNS be played when Commission meetings begin.
How totally unhinged and deranged has the City of Sarasota government become since the local Democratic Party started turning the City of Sarasota Democrat "BLUE" in 2015 that today a 55-year-old unlicensed masseur, bar greeter, dog abuser, drives without a license on numerous occasions and voted only 8 times in 30 years has become Mayor of Sarasota.
BATTIE STRUTS AROUND DOWNTOWN BAR SCENE
When Battie was elected and went public as a Sarasota City Commissioner two years ago, he paraded and strutted around the Downtown Sarasota bar scene without a mask or recommended social distancing and proceeded to contract Covid-19.
Two weeks later Commissioner Battie got his butt kicked at his favorite hangout on Palm Avenue after threatening Sarasota residents to "f*** them up,"
That incident reflects the way in which Battie, who is now Mayor, conceives of himself. For example, in a text to Tommy Pettiti, who has known Battie for 20 years, that when he called out Battie as a “fake” after Battie announced for the City Commission, Battie told him that he should be leery because he comes----

Battie has been described by local resident Davon Williams, "as a legend in his own mind using downtown Sarasota as a runway to his egotistical, prideful self."

Williams states, “The people who supported this unqualified individual for City Commission should be ashamed because they picked someone who has no education and has no job history other than being a bartender, bar greeter, dog walker, and occasional model."
Williams continued, "A heavy drinker (Battie) loves to talk and act combative, like he did to the people he instigates fights with. He’s (Battie) one big facade and the definition of ‘fake it till you make it’. Good job Sarasota. Glad ‘Council’ Battie ‘owns it now’."

BATTIE STUMBLED BACK TO SARASOTA AFTER BEING RUN OUT OF INDIANAPOLIS
Battie stumbled back into Sarasota a few years ago after an unsuccessful modeling career in New York and Miami Beach and a detour in Indianapolis where he was arrested for beating a dog he walked and being evicted from his apartment.
During his detour through Indiana, Battie did initiate his unlicensed masseur gig and his dog walking abilities, while getting evicted from his apartment on numerous occasions, driving without a license and license plate and having his dog walking abilities being questioned after been arrested for abusing one of the dogs he walked.

Battie was recruited for the Sarasota City Commission when he ran into another barfly now deposed Sarasota City Commissioner Hagen Brody. Battie was doing nothing more than riding his bike around Downtown Sarasota and hanging out in bars doing his masseur "thing" -- running for the City Commission sounded like a good gig to Battie.

For over a year and a half Joel Schleicher and his cronies at Argus, members of the local Chamber of Commerce and Gulf Coast Building Exchange (GCBX) had their flunky, Brody searching for someone to take out Sarasota City Commissioner Willie Shaw.

Shaw has been gathering the disapproval of the Argus/local Chamber of Commerce/Gulf Coast Builders Exchange (GCBX) and the white social elite of Selby Gardens. They did not want some uppity Black giving them a problem with $millions$ of Tax Increment Funding (TIF) and voting down their other million-dollar City of Sarasota projects.

The CEO of Selby Gardens/TARA ON THE BAY Jennifer Roeiemicki also had a problem with Shaw for voting against their multimillion-dollar TARA ON THE BAY project. Shaw opposed the re-zoning of $90 million parking garage and restaurant destroying the ambiance of the surrounding neighborhoods.

Those white folks who hang out at TARA ON THE BAY are a prime example of Sarasota segregated past, which was "a mean-spirited, racist county to avoid if you were Black. TARA ON THE BAY has no welcoming mat for those Black folks who live on the other side of Sarasota in Black neighborhoods where nooses and a burning cross would appear back in the day.

After finding his candidate to take out Shaw, Brody introduced Battie to his cronies, "TURN SARASOTA BLUE operatives Gabriel Hament, Ed James III and George Thurlow. They proceeded to run the campaign of Battie to replace Sarasota City Commissioner Shaw.

The DEMS TURNING SARASOTA BLUE crowd since 2015 have been electing Democrat candidates not on their qualifications, but only on their Democrat Party affiliation and Battie certainly had no qualifications other than he was their type of Democrat, who would go-along-to-get-along with the white establishment.
Battie has never been to one CCNA meeting, one local neighborhood meeting; never applied to serve on a City Advisory Board and only voted 11 times in 30 years. Battie never did one thing in the community other than help keep local bars in business.

In 2015 the DEM TURN SARASOTA BLUE CROWD elected Liz Alpert over Eileen Normile and Shelli Freeland Eddie over Stan Zimmerman. In 2017 they elected Brody over Susan Chapman. In 2020 they elected Alpert over Terry Turner and Battie over Willie Shaw in 2022 they elected "Trice over Lobeck.
All those DEMS TURNING SARASOTA BLUE were TOTALLY inferior to those they defeated. In addition, those candidates elected to TURN SARASOTA BLUE could fit nicely into the pockets of the "Pay to Play" developers hanging out at Argus.

Brody and his cronies stuffed Battie into the willing pockets at Robinson's Argus Foundation, the Chablis and brie crowd at Selby Gardens, white folks in the Rosemary District and other white Urban Pioneers in District One.

An ally of the TURN SARASOA BLUE crowd, Republican Paul" Fredo" Caragiulo gave his approval for Battie. "Fredo" stated despite Battie's deficiencies to be a City Commissioner, "he does looks good in a suit."
Battie was then packaged and managed by Brody and his cronies and subsequently stuffed into a closet so as not to appear until the day after the election.
OUSTER OF SHAW LEADS TO TAKE OVER OF SCHLEICHER AND OTHER GANGSTERS AT ARGUS AND BEYOND
Battie was elected leading to Brody being selected as the City of Sarasota Mayor and creating what became the creation of THE THREE BRO'S deep into "Pay to Play" developer's pockets.

For two years Brody pulled the strings at City Hall under City Manager Marlon Brown's supervision for Robinson. A For Sale was put up at City Hall and "THE THREE BRO'S with Brown's approval sold it to the developers.

Brown exhibited a sigh of relief not only when a clueless and inept City Commission appointed Battie, but also when the DEMS TURN SARASOTA BLUE crowd took out Dan Lobeck as a City Commissioner and voted in another Democrat air head to the City Commission, Debbie Trice.
Brown, who is another go-along get-along Black man carrying water for the white folks buying City Hall can now continue pulling the strings of Brody's BRO NO. 3 Battie on behalf of the Executive Director of the Argus Foundation, Christine Robinson.

Brown will have no problem with Brody's BRO NO.2 Arroyo, who will continue being the inflated peacock having no problem being stuffed in the Argus folk's pockets.
Those white social elitists from the various foundations, who attend the galas at the TARA ON THE BAY enclave for Sarasota Chablis and brie gang are gleeful that nothing has changed at City Hall. With Battie as Mayor, Brown pulling Battie's strings and Trice defeating Lobeck it will be "party hardy" at TARA ON THE BAY.
By the way, it will be just a matter of days before the misogynist Martin Hyde will show up at City Hall ranting and raving as he attacks Brody's enemies on the Board. Battie, Brown and Arroyo will say not a word and Trice and the other two women Commissioners will just sit there and take the abuse once again.
