The Sarasota Phoenix was informed by an impeccable source that Sarasota County Republican Executive Committee (SREC) State Committeewoman Terri Angley was to make a motion and be seconded on 9/12/24 at a SREC meeting in Venice requesting that Jack Brill step down, as Chairman of the SREC.
It never happened, as Angley apparently decided not to take on Brill publicly and not mention that Brill once again exhibited a politically inability to put together an effective Get Out the Vote (GOTV), as witnessed in the recent 8/20/24 primary.
It was also to be mentioned that Brill inability to put together an effective GOTV operation led to chaos consuming the Republican efforts in the recent Republican primary. It was to be stated that this was not the first time Brill has shown a political ineptness in putting forth effective GOTV campaigns.

For example, in 2023 two Democrat candidates defeated two Republican candidates for the Venice City Council in campaign managed by Brill and an equally inept grassroots organizer Alice Rothbauer, who was appointed by Brill to lead the GOTV activity. The Phoenix received the above photo of Rothbuer going-door-to-door in Venice in an inappropriate manner.
Edwards and Harper
Under Brill’s leadership in the receent 8/20/24 primary two of the most left-wing radical Democrat School Board candidates Tom Edwards and Liz Barker took out two Republican conservative’s candidates.
Brill weird political actions included cancelling SREC meetings in June and July before the August 20 election, while the DEC meetings were ongoing. The activity at REC headquarters was nowhere the activity going on at DEC headquarters where phone calls were being made on a daily basis among other GOTV activitis..
Mast/Pedicini/Rainford
Brill sat in silenced as $445,000 in fake voter guides financed by two SREC members Teresa Mast, Neil Rainford and their Ybor City political operative Anthony Pedicini were scandalous distributed causing chaos and confusing among Republican voters..
There was absolutely no Get Out the Vote (GOTV) initiated by Brill and all the precincts in the City of Sarasota were near abandoned to Democrats on election Day.
The left-wing radical socialist Democrats candidates Edwards and Barker political signs flooded the precincts north of Bee Ridge Road, while signs for Republican candidates were if placed at all, not more than three or four. All of those precincts had assigned SDEC volunteers set up in tents promoting Edwards and Barker with no such activity initiated by Brill.
There was no phone banks set up by Brill field organizer Rothbauer during the campaign to get Republicans out to vote, especially on election day.. If there was, how is it that the turnout was only 6%.? The 6% turn out on election day was a disgrace, which was when Republicans traditionally turn out to vote.
The opposite was the case with Democrat GOTV activities, who knocked on doors made phone calls to get Republicans out to vote before the election and on the day of the election.
Brill prides himself in how there is a huge difference in registered Republicans and registered Democrats in Sarasota County, but what good is that advantage if you don’t get those Republican out to vote.
The 30% over-all voter turnout with a 6% turn out on election day was a total disgrace to Brill’s not putting together effective GOTV activities.
Rose
Democratic Party turnout was 42%, with no state or national offices on the ballot. Republican turnout was just 35%. Had the two sides turned out in equal numbers and vote as expected, that would have cost Barker about 7,000 votes-- and a LAND SIDE ELECTION VICTORY FOR KAREN ROSE.
A similar outcome in the Edwards race for School Board. 7,000 votes split between Republicans Thomas Babciz and Greg Wood would have keep Edwards under 50% and a possible clear victory for Babciz or Wood.
Another major factor other than Brill's political ineptness of two left-wing radical socialists’ candidates getting elected was the friction existing between Sarasota America First organizations and Brill’s establishment REC.
Power
Brill with the support of RPOF Chairman Evan Power instead of allowing The America First organizations to exercise their constitutional right to form their organizations, they initiated lawsuits and other actions to take down those organizations.
Brill and Power continued to further intensified the split during the closing days of the August Primary election by not taking action against Mast, Rainford and Pedicini putting together fake voters’ guide costing $445,000.
The Pedicini voter guides were put out state wide, which included Sarasota and Manatee Counties falsely stating that DeSantis and Trump supported establishment Republican candidates.
The split between the America First and Brill’s led REC turned ugly when early voting began up until election day between the two groups gather at the Fruitville Library and other locations in Gulf Gate, Venice and Northport.
Brill lost complete control of the Republican Primary actions and chaos consumed the Republican efforts, while the local Democrat efforts were well organized leading to the election of two left-wing radical socialist candidate’s Barker and Edwards to the Sarasota School Board.
Under Brill’s leadership there are now two left-wing radical socialist Democrats now sitting "on the inside" of the Sarasota County School Board endorsed by EQUALITY FLORIDA Lesbian/Gay/Bi -sexual/Transgender/Queer (LGBTQ) organization, as chaos and mayhem continues at School Board meetings
As Brill attention centered on taking out America First organizations, Sarasota County the left-wing socialist candidates and organizations were being aided financially by a nation-wide LGBTQ organization called AGENDA out of Philadelphia.
The LGBTQ organizations funneled thousands of dollars to an affiliate organization in Ft. Lauderdale to support the socialist School Board candidate Edwards and Barker in Sarasota.

After entering the meeting, a half hour before the meeting waiting for the meeting to begin, Brill recognized the Sarasota Phoenix reporter in the back of room and demanded he be removed from the building.
SREC MEETINGS ARE CLOSED TO PRESS AND PUBLIC UNLIKE SDEC MEETINGS
What is troublesome is once again not one in that room made an objection of the press or for the public not allowed to observe so call democracy in action. Unlike SDEC meetings all SREC meetings are closed to the public and media.
The question needs to be asked what are the Brill led SREC hiding in their closet. Also, why does the media outlets like the Sarasota Herald Tribune go along with Brill;s censorship?
The local Republican Party under Brill leadership professes to be strong defenders of the constitution but SREC members just go along with Brill and sit there like bumps on a log, as Brill turns the SREC meetings into a dog and pony SHIT SHOWS.
The members of this Brill led Republican organization seem to care less that unlike Sarasota Democrat meetings, Brill hires local law enforcement to keep the media and public from observing what goes on at Brill’s SHIT SHOW meetings.
Brill’s attempts to keep the press from observing this Brill dog and pony SHIT SHOW was to no avail, since this reporter sat on a bench outside the meeting room and saw and heard every word that went on in this Brill SREC SHIT SHOW run meeting.
No doubt if Brill knew this reporter was observing the SREC SHIT SHOW meeting he would have had one of the Sarasota County Sheriff deputies escorting the reporter off the property. By the way, Sarasota County Sheriff Kurt Hoffman was in attendance of this SREC SHIT SHOW

As I sat waiting for Angley to make her motion, it was a disgrace as no one said a word as Brill led this SREC SHIT SHOW with bogus remarks defending being politically outclassed by his SDEC counterpart, Daniel Kuerther.
The all sat there with them in silence, as Brill make inane statements how he was going to purchase Trump signs and other materials in moving forward to the November election.
The SREC members sat there and said not a word as Brill stated how he and others pay out their own pockets to go to various Republican events. The truth being is that most SREC leadership do pay out of their pockets, Brill does not. Brill uses SREC funds to pay his way with no authorization of the SREC members.

That action by Brill is the same action used by the Manatee County Republic Executive Committee Chairwoman April Culbreath that led the MREC being recently dissolved.

Rothbauer is the ex-Democrat from Wisconsin, who led the defeat of two Republicans in a recent Venice City Council race to two Democrats and the recent disastrous recent SREC GOTV. debacle.
It was mind blowing, as Rothbauer stood up there with Brill at her side describing her plans for leading the GOTV effort in November. Not a word from these SREC members how totally incompetent Rothbauer has proven to be, They just sat there like bumps on a log.
